Niu Decai said that the area of the Gaoming District high-efficiency pollution-free vegetable standardization demonstration zone has expanded from the original over 2,000 mu to the current annual planting area of 85,100 mu, radiating and driving the surrounding vegetable planting area to reach over 120,000 mu. “After implementing vegetable standardization, the average yield per mu increased by 320 kilograms, and per capita income increased by over 480 yuan.”
“Leping snow pear melon previously had a yield of only 1,000 jin per mu. After implementing standardization and adopting grafting seedling cultivation methods, the disease resistance of the melon seedlings was enhanced, and the current annual yield per mu can reach 2,500 jin.” Mr. Lu, who is responsible for Leping snow pear melon cultivation, also told reporters that the current planting area of Leping snow pear melon has reached approximately 10,000 mu, and its selling price is 0.5 yuan/jin higher than other similar products. Based on the current yield per mu, this can increase income by over 12 million yuan annually.

Regarding funding input, Xian Ruilun requested that finance departments include agricultural standardization work funds in the annual fiscal budget and provide appropriate support to agricultural production and operation entities implementing standardization. Among these, the municipal finance department will allocate 1 million yuan annually for creating agricultural standardization demonstration zones, with each district providing matching funds at a 1:1 ratio.
