The straw bio-reactor technology is a new planting technology that uses straw to replace chemical fertilizers and plant vaccines to replace pesticides. Its control effect on pests and diseases can reach 45-95%, it can reduce pesticide use by 70%, save more than 50% of chemical fertilizers, advance the market period of agricultural products by 15-20 days, extend the harvest period by 30-40 days, and increase average yield by more than 50%, greatly reducing production costs and increasing output value. Moreover, this technology is easy to operate, has abundant resources, and has significant environmental benefits. The quality of agricultural products can reach the standards stipulated for organic food. Dengta City introduced the straw bio-reactor technology from Shouguang, Shandong in 2008 and promoted it in 10 townships across the city.
