Recently, FOFCC learned that on May 14, 2019, the European Commission released the 2018 statistical report on organic product imports, publishing various statistics on organic product imports for 2018. According to the statistical results of the report, in 2018, a total of 115 countries and regions exported 3,258,532 tons of organic products. Among them, the largest quantity of organic products was imported from China, 415,243 tons, accounting for 12.7% of the total. (Note: According to FOFCC statistics, in 2018, a total of 158,500 tons of Chinese organic products were issued export sales certificates to the EU through IBD-FOFCC.)
