Recently, FOFCC learned that on May 14, 2019, the European Commission released the 2018 statistical report on organic product imports, publishing various statistics on the import situation of organic products in 2018. According to the statistical results of the report, in 2018, a total of 115 countries and regions exported 3,258,532 tons of organic products. Among them, the largest quantity of organic products was imported from China, 415,243 tons, accounting for 12.7% of the total. (Note: According to FOFCC statistics, in 2018, the total amount of Chinese organic products for which export sales certificates to the EU were handled through IBD-FOFCC was 158,500 tons.)
