The EU organic product certification is implemented by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development under the EU Organic Regulation, which consists of EU 2018/848 and its subsidiary regulations. Certification bodies for EU organic products can be either government agencies or private organizations authorized by the government. Once a product is certified by a certification body, it can bear the EU organic certification logo and gain access to the EU organic food market without restrictions. For producers within EU countries, certification bodies directly apply the EU Organic Regulation for certification. For enterprises outside the EU, they can obtain certification by applying to recognized organic standards from countries or regions deemed equivalent to the EU Organic Regulation, or through certification bodies' own standards. Two well-known symbols form the basis of the EU organic logo. The EU flag - the official symbol of the European Union since 1986 and a leaf, which symbolises nature and sustainability in its various shapes. The combination of these two symbols creates a unique visual element that is self-evident and attractive. Apply IBD-EU certification
Note:IBD has been accredited by IOAS and approved by the European Commission, organic products produced by IBD certified enterprises in mainland China can be affixed with the EU Organic Certification Seal and exported to the EU market.FOFCC has entered into a subcontracting agreement for EU Organic Certification with IBD, which provides EU Organic Certification services to enterprises in mainland China and neighbouring countries or regions. - KRAV Processing Standard, certification is available to all EU-wide processors in the Nordic countries, as well as to companies that overpack and handle unpackaged products in the Nordic countries.
- The KRAV agricultural standard can only be used in the Nordic countries.
- The KRAV Fisheries Standard applies only to freshwater aquaculture in the North-East Atlantic and Baltic Seas and in the Nordic countries.
- Companies outside the EU, on the basis of EU organic certification, are required to provide KRAV certified companies with a KRAV inspection report, which in turn demonstrates that the production process meets the additional requirements of the KRAV organic standard, e.g. social responsibility.
