Certification and accreditation are internationally accepted means of quality management and tools for trade facilitation. In accordance with internationally accepted rules, China has established a certification and accreditation system aligned with international practices, including a certification system combining compulsory and voluntary certification, a national accreditation system, a qualification recognition system for inspection and testing institutions, and a registration and filing system for imported and exported food, among others.
