Sun Tieheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, former Director and Honorary Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, former President of Shenyang University, Vice Chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Association for Science and Technology, Chairman of the Shenyang Municipal Association for Science and Technology, renowned soil scientist, environmental engineering and ecologist, one of the founders of FOFCC, and Deputy Director of the FOFCC Management Committee, passed away unfortunately at 16:55 on July 2, 2013 in Shanghai after medical treatment proved ineffective, at the age of 75.บทความมาจากFOFCC-http://fofcc.org.cn/th/11427/
Sun Tieheng was born on March 22, 1938 in Haicheng, Liaoning Province. He graduated from the Department of Soil and Agrochemistry of Shenyang Agricultural University in 1963, and in the same year began working at the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 1981 to 1983, he studied at the University of Tokyo in Japan. From 1983 to 1993, he served as Director of the Pollution Ecology Research Laboratory at the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1991. From 1994 to 2000, he served as Director of the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2001, he was elected Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. From 2001 to 2010, he served as Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician Sun Tieheng was engaged in research on pollution ecology and environmental soil science for more than fifty years, and was a pioneer and academic leader in China's pollution ecology and environmental engineering.
