On June 16, 2023, following approval by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the International Organic Accreditation Service (IOAS) officially issued the Canadian Organic Product Accreditation Certificate to FOFCC, marking another new milestone in the development of FOFCC. In June 2022, FOFCC submitted an accreditation application to IOAS. Due to the impact of the pandemic, IOAS was unable to dispatch assessors to China to conduct on-site assessments and witnessing activities. In November 2022 and January 2023, two IOAS assessors conducted an inspector witnessing assessment and an office assessment of FOFCC through remote assessment methods, respectively. On June 16, 2023, CFIA officially approved IOAS to issue the Canadian Organic (COR) Accreditation Certificate to FOFCC. The effective date of accreditation is June 20, 2023. FOFCC may independently carry out Canadian organic product certification work, and organic products certified by FOFCC may lawfully usethe COR certification mark，and be exported to Canada. At the same time, in accordance with the organic regulatory equivalence agreement between the Governments of Canada and the United States, organic products that have obtained Canadian organic certification may use the United States Department of Agriculture(USDA) organic mark，and may be exported directly to the United States.
