The organic code is issued by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China under quota control based on the product quantity and category of certified enterprises, and is equivalent to the product's “electronic ID card.” Consumers can use the number to check the authenticity of the product and the corresponding organic product certification certificate, certified product, and production enterprise in the “National Organic Product Certification Mark Record Management System” (http://food.cnca.cn).
