On March 1, 2024, after the witness assessment in Dalian was completed, Mr. Adhi Kurnia Tama proceeded to Leling City, Shandong Province, to conduct an on-site witness assessment of IBD inspectors. This witness assessment was the first on-site witness assessment for EU organic standard certification conducted in China after IBD obtained accreditation under the new EU organic regulation EU 848/2018 in August 2023. Through two consecutive witness assessments, two young FOFCC inspectors withstood the test. These assessments also deepened their understanding of international accreditation rules and made them more familiar with the on-site inspection procedures for international organic certification under the EU, US, and Canadian standards.
