Due to incidents involving Sudan Red and melamine in recent years in our country, people have been paying extra attention to food safety issues. The organic food delivery industry has been flourishing in major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangzhou. Home delivery of green food in Shenyang began to emerge after 2000. In recent years, organic food delivery has become a fashion. At present, there are already more than a dozen organic food delivery centres in Shenyang, delivering varieties including grain, vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs and milk. The delivery industry has taken initial shape, which is a highly gratifying matter. For example: Shenyang Yalian Eco-agriculture Co., Ltd. has established an organic vegetable base in Mengjia Township, Faku County (which has obtained FOFCC organic certification, and the vegetables produced were tested by the Qingdao Laboratory of PONY Testing International, with none of the 179 pesticide residues detected), and has set up an organic vegetable delivery centre in Shenyang to deliver organic vegetables to member clients once a week (over 6 varieties, basically guaranteeing seasonal and greenhouse vegetables for a week's consumption), with 50 deliveries a year.
