Liaoning implements the Farmers' Professional Cooperatives Law and encourages farmers' cooperatives to obtain organic certification

    On March 1, 2010, the Measures of Liaoning Province for the Implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Specialized Farmers Cooperatives (adopted at the 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 11th People's Congress of Liaoning Province on January 8, 2010) came into effect. Article 15 thereof provides that specialized farmers cooperatives shall be encouraged and supported in carrying out standardized production, applying for certification of pollution-free agricultural products, green food, organic food labels and geographical indications of agricultural products, registering trademarks for famous, high-quality agricultural products, and creating agricultural product brands with local characteristics. The timely promulgation of these Measures, while promoting the development of specialized farmers cooperatives throughout the province, will certainly provide strong support for the development of sustainable organic agriculture by agricultural cooperatives in our province, further advance the industrialized operation of agriculture, enhance the market competitiveness of agricultural products, and promote increases in farmers' income; it will also further improve farmers' quality, cultivate new-type farmers, advance grassroots democratic management, and build a harmonious rural society.文章源自FOFCC-http://fofcc.org.cn/en/11204/
