CNCA Holds a Symposium in Beijing on Industry Self-Discipline Work for Organic Product Certification Bodies

On February 24, the China Certification and Accreditation Association held a symposium on industry self-discipline for organic product certification bodies in Beijing. Che Wenyi, Deputy Director of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Li Xiaolan, Executive Vice President of the China Certification and Accreditation Association, Zhao Zongbo, Secretary-General, and Xu Defeng, Deputy Secretary-General, attended the meeting. The meeting examined the ideas, direction, and principles of industry self-discipline for organic product certification, and discussed specific measures for industry self-discipline in organic product certification. Relevant personnel from relevant departments of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China, the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, the China Certification and Accreditation Association, relevant testing institutions, and organic product certification bodies participated in the symposium.
Che Wenyi pointed out that certification bodies, testing institutions, accreditation bodies, industry organizations, and competent authorities in the certification and accreditation industry should maintain the interaction mechanism effectively to ensure that sound systems are effectively implemented. He required that all parties further take action to implement the outcomes of the symposium at different levels and create conditions for information exchange and information resource sharing among certification bodies; certification bodies should strengthen routine supervision and guidance for organic product production enterprises; and the certification and accreditation association should strengthen the professional ethics development of practitioners, purify the practitioner workforce, and seriously handle individual practitioners who are irresponsible and violate professional ethics.
Zhao Zongbo introduced to the participants the current self-discipline working mechanisms and measures in the certification and accreditation industry, including personnel conversion, price self-discipline, and certificate conversion. He stated that the China Certification and Accreditation Association would further strengthen self-regulatory oversight in the field of organic certification, fully cooperate with government competent authorities to do the work well and solidly, and promote the healthy development of the organic certification industry.
At the meeting, the heads of 23 organic product certification bodies expressed their views on issues including the implementation of systems in the field of organic product certification, the certification implementation process, supervision of enterprise production, and supervision of sales links and circulation areas, and put forward constructive suggestions and opinions on self-regulatory mechanisms such as personnel conversion, price self-discipline, and certificate conversion.Artikel berasal dariFOFCC-http://fofcc.org.cn/ms/11366/
