The white paper pointed out that the organic industry is an emerging industry with broad development prospects and is an important pathway for developing modern agriculture, advancing ecological civilization construction, and achieving harmony between humanity and nature as well as sustainable development. Over the past more than 20 years, China's organic industry has developed rapidly, providing consumers with a large amount of high-quality, safe, and healthy food and agricultural products, reducing pollution of the ecological environment and consumption of non-renewable resources, increasing farmers' incomes, and achieving sound economic benefits and social and ecological benefits. By the end of 2013, China had a total certified organic production area of 2.722 million hectares, 7,894 organic product production enterprises, 6,628 organic production bases, and 3,910 organic processing plants. Organic products covered four major categories: plant, animal, aquatic, and processed products, and approximately 10,000 organic product certification certificates had been issued cumulatively. China's annual sales of organic products were approximately 20-30 billion yuan, making it the world's fourth-largest consumer of organic products. Relevant data and materials show that since its establishment, the Certification and Accreditation Administration has actively performed its government regulatory duties, formulated and promulgated a series of laws, regulations, administrative rules, and technical specifications, and established the national organic product certification system. In recent years, it has successively revised and issued standards and technical specifications such as the “Organic Products” national standard, the "Organic Product Certification Implementation Rules," and the "Measures for the Administration of Organic Product Certification," implementing whole-process management of the planting and breeding, production, packaging, certification, and sales links of organic products as well as inputs, and applying "one product, one code" organic code traceability management to organic products, thereby bringing China's organic industry onto a track of standardized and law-based development. At the event site, the new media platform for organic product certification - the “Organic Micro Life” mobile client and WeChat platform - was officially launched. This application is aimed at the increasingly large mobile terminal user group and publishes authoritative information on organic products. Users can use this application platform to quickly identify organic products through QR code scanning, manual entry of the “organic code,” and other methods, and obtain consumer guidance information about organic products, thereby solving the problem of asymmetric information on organic products caused by consumers' lack of convenient identification methods. The “Organic Promotion Week” event is a publicity and service activity to implement the requirements of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on accelerating the development of modern agriculture and vigorously advancing ecological civilization construction, and it is also a key activity of the 2014 national “Quality Month.” Its main purpose is to popularize organic knowledge among the public, comprehensively demonstrate the achievements of China's organic product certification system, and promote the healthy development of the organic industry. During the “Organic Promotion Week,” various parts of the country will organize a series of activities in a concentrated manner, including the “Organic Products into Communities and Campuses” public welfare action, visits and experiences at organic bases, expert consultation services on organic knowledge, and supervision and inspection of organic product production and sales enterprises.Artikel berasal dariFOFCC-http://fofcc.org.cn/ms/11493/
