On December 16, 2021, the European Union officially published Regulation EU 2021/2325, which sets out the list of certification bodies. Under this regulation, IBD's certification results for certified organizations in China are recognized as equivalent to the EU's new organic regulation EU 2018/848, and the EU has expanded the scope of IBD's approval for livestock and poultry products in China. To date, the certification scopes approved by the EU for IBD include: Category A (unprocessed agricultural products), Category B (livestock and poultry products), Category D (processed foods), and Category E (feed products).
