On 16 December 2021, the European Union officially issued Regulation (EU) 2021/2325, which published the list of control bodies. According to this regulation, IBD's certification results for certified organisations in China are recognised as equivalent to the new EU Organic Regulation (EU) 2018/848. Furthermore, the EU has expanded IBD's approved scope for livestock and poultry products in China. To date, the certification scopes approved for IBD by the EU are: Category A (unprocessed agricultural products), Category B (livestock and poultry products), Category D (processed food), and Category E (feed products).
