On January 19, as soon as the reporter entered the Liaoning Kewen Farm in Zhoutuizi Village, Xinmin City, rows of high-standard solar greenhouses came into view, with various vegetables “beaming with smiles.” Kewen Farm is a vegetable industrialization base of Shenyang Agricultural University. Construction began in 2007 along with experiments in organic vegetable production. On April 11, 2010, it obtained organic vegetable food certification, and in May it established Kewen Organic Vegetable Farm. Next, Shenyang Agricultural University will cooperate with Zhoutuizi Village to use the village's 30,000 mu of farmland to build an organic vegetable production base.บทความมาจากFOFCC-http://fofcc.org.cn/th/11361/
How can it be ensured that vegetables meet organic standards? Zhang Enping, associate professor and person in charge of the base, introduced that in the vegetable production process, the most important thing is to prohibit the use of chemically synthesized products and genetically engineered products, including pesticides, chemical fertilizers, hormones, and genetically modified varieties, none of which can be used. The yield of organic vegetables is one-third lower than that of normal vegetables, and labor costs are also relatively high. The production cost of organic vegetables is about 5 times that of vegetables grown in open fields.
