What is Chinese code?

To ensure the traceability of organic products, the CNCA requires certification bodies, when issuing certification marks to certified organic enterprises or allowing them to print the organic certification mark on product labels, to assign a unique code to each mark in accordance with unified coding requirements. This code consists of 17 digits: a 3-digit certification body code, a 2-digit year of issuance code, and a 12-digit random issuance code, with the Chinese characters for “organic code” required to be prefixed to the 17-digit number.
Every organic code on each organic label needs to be submitted to the “China Food and Agricultural Product Certification Information System” (websitehttp://food.cnca.cn), any individual can check information on that website such as the name of the organic product corresponding to the organic logo, the certification certificate number, and the certified enterprise.文章源自FOFCC-http://fofcc.org.cn/en/11370/
